Editor’s note:Since we published , an article about UNH faculty, staff, students and alumni who are running Monday’s 119th Boston Marathon, we’ve heard from several other Wildcats who are also running on Monday. Here they are. Good luck to all!
Three former members of the UNH cross-country and indoor/outdoor track team — Katie Foss Siwicki '96, Karma Tousignant '96 and Alison Hanscom Caruso '99 — are still running and will run Monday’s Boston Marathon.
Nutritional sciences grad Steve Hennigar '08 is running, as is Jim Santora '87.

Mike Elliott '08is running for the Dana Farber Cancer Institute.College of Health and Human Services grad Keith Levitsky '99 is running on the .He says “One ofthe people I run in honor of is Hodgkin's Lymphoma survivor and UNH graduate Damian Bailey.”AndMaureen Gillespie '06, a lecturer in the UNH psychology department, will run to support, an all-breed nonprofit dog rescue.
It’s not the first rodeo for several alumni runners. Dan Fiore '92 will run his ninth Boston Marathon on Monday, while Will Locandro '94, former UNH crew team member, . College of Engineering and Physical Sciences grad Matt Manning '02 will be rooting for all the other Wildcats while running his eighth consecutive Boston. Stacey (Arnold) Michne '03 is running her 12th marathon and her third Boston. She says, “I’m happy to see there are so many of us running!” College of Life Sciences and Agriculture grad Tracy Lambert '03 is coming from Iowa to run her fifth consecutive Boston Marathon as a qualifier. She says, “If you had told me back in my college days that I would be running marathons someday, I most certainly would have laughed at you!”
Kinesiology graduate student and Belarus native Aliaksandr (Alex) Leuchanka will also run on Monday. It’s a big month for Leuchanka, who found out just this week that he received this year’s Basil J.F. Mott award, a College of Health and Human Services scholarship that recognizes outstanding scholarship and leadership among graduate students.
