UNH launches online master’s in National Security Intelligence Analysis

With a growing emphasis on national security due to regional instability and military threats, there is a mounting need for well-trained intelligence professionals. In response, the 鶹app has launched a .

According to a report by Data Bridge market Research, the global homeland security market is expected to reach $667.53 billion by 2027. , assistant professor of security studies at UNH and , says this translates to vast job potential for graduates in intelligence analysis, cybersecurity, emergency management, private security and more.

“The U.S. faces myriad internal and external challenges to national security, and the intelligence field is as dynamic and significant as the threats themselves,” Macpherson says. “Our prepares graduates to meet the growing demand for all source analysts.”

Designed for working professionals and full-time students alike, the cultivates a deep conceptual understanding of national and international security issues, strategies and policies. Taught by faculty who are leaders in the field, students learn the critical, creative and analytical thinking skills to assess and respond to today’s domestic and international threats.

“The program focuses on experiential learning in traditional and contemporary analytics,” Macpherson said. “Our students develop data science skills that are crucial for success as an analyst, which requires quantitative and qualitative reasoning to find causes of and solutions to complex security challenges.”
