The National Security Agency and the Department of Homeland Security have designated the 麻豆app as a National Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense Education. UNH is the first institution in the state to earn this prestigious designation, which recognizes the university鈥檚 commitment to cybersecurity education.

Professor James Ramsay, Ph.D., will lead a virtual info session about UNH's homeland security program on March 2.

Virtual Homeland Security Info Session
Tuesday, March 2 | 5 - 6 p.m.
Join us for a听听to meet faculty, explore areas of study, hear success stories of our graduates and learn how the real-world experience you鈥檒l get at UNH Durham or听听will prepare听you for your future.听The will be led by James Ramsay, Ph.D., who spearheaded the creation of UNH's homeland security program, which was a catalyst that earned UNH听its designation as a National Center of Excellence in Cyber Defense Education by the U.S. National Security Agency and the Department of Homeland Security.
Ramsay鈥檚 research interests include climate security, law enforcement education and the relationship between environmental and human security and national security strategic planning. He has published several books and has served as a subject matter expert on local and national media on a wide range of health, safety, emergency management and environmental health issues.听His work has earned him multiple accolades from the American Society of Safety Professionals, including selection as a听2019 ASSP Fellow, the 2016 Culbertson Award for Excellence in Service, the 2011 President鈥檚 Award and the 2008 William Tarrants Award Outstanding Safety Educator Award.
What do you like best about your job?
JR: Teaching security studies to students, engaging students in our democracy, and my colleagues.

JR: Travel, cycling, movies and eating with family and friends.
