Mel Nagashima 鈥�22 chose UNH to escape his comfort zone and wound up leaving with听a job that will allow him to impact his own community. Nagashima was able to work听helping immigrant families with the Boston Chinatown Neighborhood Center during his time in the听Semester-in-the-City program, and that ultimately pushed him to pursue work in the听field of nonprofit communications, where he landed a full-time job after graduation with the Boston Foundation. Nagashima credits his studies in communication and international affairs, as well as the real-world experience gained through Semester-in-the-City, for paving the way to his current professional path.
