Provost Listening Sessions Announced (9.23.24)
Dear UNH Community,
As co-chairs of the search committee for the university’s next provost, we are pleased to share the schedule for upcoming community listening sessions. As a first step in the search process, these sessions will give faculty,Ìýstaff, students and other stakeholders the opportunity to provide input on the skills and qualifications they seek in the next provost.
Two of the three listening sessions will be hosted in a hybrid format and the third online to maximize participation. While the first two will focus initially on feedback from the identified stakeholders, they are open to allÌýand opportunities for broader feedback will be provided as time allows. In addition to the listening sessions, we have established a survey (Ìý) to collect feedback anytime. The committee will also host additional sessions with additional targeted groups that will work most closely with the next provost.
The search committee and hiring consultant, Issacson, Miller, will use these sessions and input to develop a position description to begin recruiting candidates later this fall. That profile and other pertinent information on the search will continue to be posted to theÌý.
We invite you to attend and participate in these important sessions to ensure a wide range of views and perspectives are incorporated into the search for this critical leadership role. We look forward to hearing from you!
Sincerely,
Michele Dillon and Jeffrey Halpern, Committee Co-Chairs
