UNH is proud to be a national leader in sustainability in higher education, and sustainability is one of UNH’s key academic performance metrics. The Sustainability Institute is here as a resource to support faculty across UNH in creating opportunities to integrate sustainability concepts into their curriculum.

    A program of the Changemaker Collaborative (the Sustainability Institute's partnership with the Peter T. Paul College of Business and Economics and the Carsey School of Public Policy) the Changemaker Speaker Series brings innovative and inspiring leaders to campus each semester. Ìý

    Behind the Curtain: How Corporate Supply Chains Can Change the WorldÌý

    For most consumer product companies, the majority of their environmental and social impact occurs within their supply chain. When you think about your favorite products, where the raw ingredients come from and how they are processed matters most. Learn how consumer product companies can engage with the people and places in their supply chains to restore and regenerate, rather than degrade. And discuss how you as consumers can vote with your dollar to influence more companies on this journey.Ìý

    UNH is ranked one of the most sustainable schools in the country! Bring the Sustainability at UNH online moduleÌýÌýinto your course. Faculty, staff and students who complete the module will earn a micro-credential digital badge from Credly to add to a digital professional profile, such as LinkedIn.Have your students test their knowledge in this online module as a course assignment or pre-test to a an in-person tour. TheÌý"Sustainability at UNH" online module isÌýa series of short videos followed by multiple choice questions, and is a great way to find out why UNH is one of the most sustainable universities in the country and how to get involved right here on campus!

    Professional and student staff are here to support all students, in any major and available to make guest presentations in your classes. Sessions can be tailored to your course content and help students discover opportunities available to gain experiences to apply classroom learning and build problem-solving skills, courage and confidence to solve today’s pressing sustainability challenges.

    Embed the 21-Day Racial Equity Habit-Building Challenge into your courses

    An excellent opportunity to allow students to consider issues of racial equity in the context of your course. The Challenge occurs annually in April and is an outstanding set of resources and prompts focused on deepening understanding of, and willingness to confront, racism for twenty-one consecutive days. The Challenge goes beyond individual or interpersonal racism by helping to demystify structural and institutional racism.

    Talk About Teaching Workshop

    UNH’s Centre for Excellence and Innovation in Teaching & Learning (CEITL) partnered with the UNH Sustainability Institute to host a workshop,ÌýCEITL’s Talk About Teaching Workshop on Integrating Sustainability Into Course Curriculum, designed to help faculty consider what sustainability means to their disciplines, share best practices and resources and help one another design new opportunities to integrate sustainability - whether it is into one class session, a new module, or across an entire course.
