Each semester, students in the Carbon ClinicÌýserve as consultants to complete carbon footprint analyses for leading regional businesses, nonprofits and communities. It's an exciting opportunity for students to gain expertise and experience in sought-after environmental reporting skills and for companies, non-profits and municipalities to gain capacity and knowledge to advance their climate goals. The Clinic leverages the Sustainability Institute’sÌýexpertise and investment in theÌýSustainability Indicator Management and Analysis PlatformÌý(SIMAP),ÌýanÌýonline platform used by more than 500ÌýorganizationsÌýworldwideÌýto understand, communicate, and manage their carbon and nitrogen footprints.

We're pleased to introduce the Fall 2022 Carbon Clinic student teams and our partner organizations.

Team Hartford, VTÌý
The Town of Hartford, VT is the 9th largest town in Vermont with over 10,000 residents covering 45.9 sq. miles. In the fall of 2021, the Town’s Select Board adopted their Climate Action Plan that had been created through the dedication and hard work of both residents and a consulting firm over two years. The Town’s ambitious plan looks to make municipal operations net zero by 2027 and for the town to reach this point by 2030.
